BACK TO DIRT FARM
Delivering beautiful products with minimal waste
At Back to Dirt Farm we have opened our back field of 4 acres to RVs for boondocking. What is boondocking? Simply put, it is dry camping in a self contained unit, with no hookups.
Our farm is centrally located to the west of Sequim and east of Port Angeles. We are 4.5 miles from the Dungeness spit, near Olympic National Park and close enough to the city to enjoy a day at the farmer's market or a tour of the many lavender farms nearby.
Please note we are closed for the season and will re-open for camping next year (2020).
We are a mother daughter team with a passion for creativity and the environment. We started a farm committed to producing quality lavender products in a beautiful space while promoting low waste practices. Believing that reducing and reusing are more important than recycling, we noticed that it was difficult to find local options to refill our product containers. We knew that we loved making our own products but that not everyone has the time or desire to do so and decided to build a business where we could offer everyone opportunities for a minimal waste life.
We chose lavender to grow for its beauty, ability to grow with organic practices and excellent use in products and crafts. Also Ashley (daughter) loves it! Lavender is known for its medicinal and antibacterial properties, is soothing and has a wonderful scent. It's also supposed to repel mosquitoes, which is great since Katina (mother) is the world's biggest mosquito magnet!
We are a new farm sitting on 10 acres on Hwy 101 on the west side of Sequim. We love to have visitors to our farm and offer camping where you can relax and enjoy sunny Sequim with easy access to the Olympic Peninsula. We are just getting our start and look forward to sharing our journey with you.
