With 4 acres of open field we have plenty of spaces to choose from. Park your RV in an open field and enjoy a peaceful night while watching neighboring sheep and horses.

The Dirt

We offer boondocking (primitive camping) to self contained RV units in our open back field. RVs can stop by the Dungeness County Park, located 4.5 miles from our property, on the way in to utilize the free dump station and fill up water tanks. Please note there is no water or dump access on the property.

Our rates are $20 a night. Buy 6 nights, get 1 free. Stays are limited to 14 days. At this time we only accept cash payments.

Site rentals are for 1 self contained vehicle + 1 tow vehicle/toad.

Travelling West

West on Highway 101 you will pass the Dungeness Spit sign on the right and then Leitz supply on the left. After passing Leitz, you will take the next U-Turn. Don't Worry! We have special U-Turn pull outs that make it easy for even the largest RV. Look for the purple Back to Dirt Farm sign on your right.

Travelling East

East on Highway 101 you will pass through Port Angeles and continue 11 miles. After passing Northwest Home Gallery and C&F Insulation on your left, begin to look for our purple Back to Dirt Farm sign on your right (after the U-Turn pull out). If you reach Leitz, you have gone too far. That's okay, just use the next U-turn pullout.

  • Check in time is after 1 PM, check out time is no later than 12 PM.

  • Payment is due in full upon arrival. Please try to bring exact change, if possible.

  • No after dark arrivals. We love that we can see the stars so bright but we have no artificial lighting on the drive to our back field and want to make sure you arrive safely to your spot. If you have an emergency that will require you to arrive after 9 PM, please call ahead to make arrangements.

  • Official quiet time is from 9 PM to 8 AM. No generators, outdoor music or otherwise loud noises that may disturb your neighbors after this time.

  • Pets are required to be on a leash at all times. Pick up your dog/pet poop. We plan to cultivate this back field in the next few years and need to minimize contamination. Pets should be free of parasites (fleas, worms and ticks) and up to date on all immunizations. Pet owners observed to break the rules will be asked to leave immediately, no refunds. If your animal is aggressive to other animals, you must keep a short leash and be with your pet at all times.

    • We have a farm cat. This is a great thing as he makes sure little critters don't stick around. He is very friendly and may approach your rig. Please make sure that your pets do not attack him. If he is disturbing you, please let us know and we will minimize his visits.

  • Pack it in, pack it out. Sorry, we cannot offer you garbage service. We are a low waste farm producing minimal garbage and do not subscribe to garbage services for our property. There is a dump available in Port Angeles with recycling options.

    • If you have any glass bottles (wine or spirits), please feel free to leave them in our glass bottle bin. We up-cycle these!

  • No dumping, period. This includes your dishwater. We need our fields to remain organic and must not have grey/black/or water with chemicals dumped on it. Please enjoy the dump station just 4.5 miles away. If you need to borrow our blue boy while you are here, please let me know.

  • Go slow! Especially after a rain. We do not want ruts in our fields and in your camping spots. Taking off slowly will minimize these and keep you from getting stuck too!

  • No wood/ground fires. Unfortunately our area is under a burn ban from July 1 forward. To minimize risk we only allow propane fire pits.

  • Please do not interact with our neighboring farm animals (sheep, horses, dogs). These are farm animals who have specific care and should not be given any food or touched.

  • Respect our privacy. The back 4 acres are for the enjoyment of our RV guests. The rest of the property is our private living space. Do not enter any of the buildings, or wander around. If our fruit trees have ripe fruit while you are here, we will place them in a protected container at the entrance of the back field. Thank you!

Our rules protect our property and ensure you a positive camping experience. Anyone found to break the rules will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.

We hope you enjoy your stay!
